Description

GD Breslin – Album The man behind the scene

My first trip into the ‘Blast Furnace’ with a full live band! I wanted an up tempo keep er lit feel to this album and the Band did not disappoint. ‘Chiefs of Inishowen‘ was my first record in 1980 produced by John Delaney banjo player with The Barleycorn in Dublin Featuring John Sheehan on fiddle from The Dubliners. I decided to re record a faster version and it kick starts the album in style! ‘All that changed tonight‘ is my only attempt at a pop song? I’m very pleased with the result. ‘Dolly and Dusty‘ a Tribute to my Parents is the only ballad on the cd, Featuring the unique voice of Ciara Mc Cafferty a duet with myself.

Here come the Vikings‘ Reminds us of the terror and fear caused by the Danes invasion of Ireland and how their legacy still surrounds us today  What a way to finish! ‘Welcome to Derry‘ has the band in full swing and leaving your feet tapping long after you’ve left the dance floor……
